About

I conduct research into the theory of moral and legal responsibility, with special reference to analytic philosophy and jurisprudence.

I'm actually engaged in an international and interdisciplinary project titled 'Enhancing responsibility', concerning the effects of cognitive enhancement on moral and legal responsibility.

I'm also interested in the free will problem, the theory of action, the problem of causation, the philosophy of mind.

My general goal is to deepen the understanding of the relationship between these traditional philosophical topics and specific legal issues like the insanity defence and justification and excuse.
