About
I obtained my MSc degree in urban design and planning with honourable recommendation in 2004. Between 2004 and 2010 I have worked on my PhD research at Delft University of Technology where I have also edited two books, written several scientific articles and tutored design studios at both BSc and MSc level. My academic strengths lie in theory of urban design and planning and crossdisciplinary approaches to urbanism. I plan to defend my PhD thesis at the end of 2010.
Since 1 June 2010 I have started at the Provincie Zuid Holland as strategic spatial planner. My work concerns integral policy development for transport planning and spatial planning as well as regional cooperation in spatial and transport policy.
