About
Olgu Çalışkan is an academic at METU (Middle East Technical University), Ankara and a visiting researcher at TU Delft Faculty of Architecture, Department of Urbanism where he is completing his PhD. His main research interests are physical planning and design, urban morphology, urban design theory and method, and visualisation in urbanism. His current research comprises an international study of planning and design processes in the UK. the Netherlands and Turkey from a morphological perspective. His recent publications include the book, Urban Compactness (VDM, 2009) and several articles, including those in the Journal of Urban Design (2010/15), METU JFA (2006/2) and the editorial for the issue of PLANLAMA on 'designing the city'.
